Throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain on our Jewels of Italy tour experience Europe the easy way... with When you're planning your holiday there are plenty of guide books and the internet to find information on the destinations you're going to; but better still is to hear from people who've already been. That's why we love to hear from our customers - where they've been, what they did, when they travelled, why they chose their particular holiday. As well as helping other travellers with their holiday selection, it helps us to know what works and what could be improved upon. Nothing quite beats hearing from personal experience - you find out things that the guidebooks don't tell you - and people's stories somehow bring a place to life so much more. We receive hundreds of letters each year with feedback on our tours, and great suggestions for what you'd like to see in the future. On the opposite page you'll find stories from some of our customers, read about their holiday experience and learn for yourself what makes their holiday special - and hopefully, you'll be tempted by some of the holidays they've been on! We always enjoy hearing from our customers, so be sure to send us a letter - or even a postcard! talesTravellers' Bon Voyage! 6 Helpful information from people who've already travelled... TRAVELLERS' TALES Margaret Mills & Elaine Anderson, Milton Keynes. Little Trains of Austria We had a wonderful overview of the delights of Austria, enhanced by a knowledgeable, engaging and caring crew along with fellow travellers of great humour who lifted our spirits and embraced us with much merriment. It was a gentle tour, starting each day at holiday time hours and including such a variety of experiences as schnapps tasting, medieval town wandering and candle making and always the stunning Austrian scenery. See page 33 to read the full story. We've travelled many times with Leger, and have always found the drivers to be superb - all very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them, which is important when you're spending time together on your tour. The excursions we went on were great - we especially enjoyed the fish barbecue and the cheese and winetasting, plus the island tour which was really enjoyable, swimming in the warm, clear sea was just wonderful. It's not surprising that this tour is a best seller because, as far as we are concerned, this is what a holiday is all about - peace, tranquility and a hotel that ticks all the boxes. And the sunsets across the bay every evening are breathtaking. Chris & Eddie Thompson, Bedford. See page 12 to read the full story. Richard and Judith Buddin, Stoke- on- Trent Lake Garda, Venice & Verona Lake Garda is beautiful, nothing we had heard from friends and family quite prepared us for this spectacular region. Personally I was blown away by the view from our balcony and I have enclosed some photos which don't do it justice. Swimming in the lake was so refreshing after a few hours' absorbing the rays, and then finding the local Gelato ' ice cream' shop to top up on the calories was heaven indeed. K., and the trip was far and away better than we could have imagined, and worth every penny. I would recommend Leger to anyone, and have done since my return. Mark & Carol Haslam, Chesterfield. Explore Ostend with Leeca Rose, Devon. Explore Ostend was my second Leger holiday in less than six months and this one was a birthday treat for my parents who were first time Leger travellers... I enjoyed this trip so, much I have booked to go again very soon. See page 121 for Leeca's full story. The Splendours of Prague & Vienna - Imperial Capitals We all found the whole of this tour so exciting and informative... We would recommend this to anyone. We can only say we were all in full agreement that this was one of Leger's best holidays and it certainly came up to great standards in all respects. An amazing break. Mrs Andrews, Worcestershire. Provence & the Dordogne We were all sad that our holiday was coming to an end. Everyone was happy to have made new friends and there were plenty of addresses and phone numbers exchanging hands, and promises of sending photos. Linda & Brian Needham, South Yorkshire. German Grand Prix We met up with a great crowd of Formula 1 enthusiasts (' Petrol Heads'!) on our tour coach, and we had a terrific time, both at the track, and during the evenings. It was a laugh- a- minute - wonderful! Norman Haffenden, Nottingham. See page 127 for the full story. Page 52 D- Day Landings in Normandy The outstanding part of the tour was the Guide... he was not only knowledgeable about the areas and events on this trip, he made it understandable for all levels Phil Bond, Cardiff. Page 134 Christmas & New Year in Spain The festive meals were very good and entertainment was available every day and night... this Christmas was definitely one to remember! Annette Shorney, Smethwick. Page 150 Treasures of Italy by Rail ... a lovely holiday in a beautiful country with so much to see and do with a friendly group of people... Roland Westbrook, West Sussex. Page 88 The Mountains of Mourne We have been on many holidays with Leger before... so we knew we were in for a great holiday. Ian Stanley & Sandra Weedall, Cheshire. Page 111 The Island of Krk and the Croatian Riviera Page 77 Cruising the Danube Our fellow passengers, a very mixed bunch, quickly jelled together. When we reached Dover to change to our different coaches we were quite sad, it had been a wonderful holiday, shared with some colourful characters. Yvonne Riley, Kent Page 93 |
