The trekking can be difficult as our Gorilla Tracker cuts a path through the forest but the reward is immense, as we come eye to eye with these incredible primates. It is not just this that makes Rwanda a wonderful destination; it is the stunning inland beaches of Lake Kivu, the vast protected forest with opportunities for some smaller primate spotting and the busy towns of Butare and Kigali where there is an opportunity to learn more about Rwanda's history.
